Mission Statement: To transform healthcare and communities by providing interprofessional team-based education, practice, and translation of best evidence into practice.
Vision Statement: To become a national leader in developing interprofessional models for practice, education, and research, and for developing interprofessional strategies for reducing health disparities in the Southwest Alabama region.

IPEC at USA

Goal 1: Acquire the necessary personnel, funding, and systems to achieve the mission and vision for the advancement of interprofessional education at USA.

Goal 2:  Establish a framework for the advancement of IPE; infuse interprofessional competencies in all health professions educational programs at USA.

Goal 3: Create a culture in which faculty, students, and healthcare providers value collaborative practice as the hallmark of care, and where interprofessional education is recognized as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes

Goal 4:  Establish an ongoing, systematic process for evaluating IPE and collaborative care.

Goal 5:  Become a national leader in efforts to develop interprofessional education through leadership in interprofessional practice, education, and translation of best evidence into practice.
