Testing Lab Procedures

The Psychology Testing Lab is open

 

Instructor-approved proctored exams may be taken at the Psychology Testing Lab located in UCOM 1220.

Hours are by appointment only. 

 

Faculty

The lab is available for any faculty member (e.g., full-time, adjunct, graduate assistant) to schedule tests (based on availability). Please complete the Testing Lab Request form if you need a test administered. 

1.  If you need them to give a paper test there will now be a mailbox by the faculty mailboxes labeled Courtney/Lucy where you can place the test(s).
2.  Please put in the Special/Additional Instructions on the faculty request form that it is a paper test.

Students

Instructions for Students for Test Proctoring and Tutoring

1.  Login to Navigate South. https://usajaguars.campus.eab.com/
2.  Click Schedule a Meeting.
3.  Under "What type of appointment would you like to schedule?" Select Tutoring.
4.  For exam proctoring select "PSY Course Exam" and for tutoring select "Psychology Review" both are under Psychology Testing Lab.
5.  Click Find Available Times. This will bring you to a list of dates and times available. Select one that works for you.
6.  On the next screen indicate the following information in the comment box
   • Exam Proctoring Instructions:
     Please indicate in the comments the following:
     Course and Section, Professor, Test Number (e.g., Test 1)
   • Tutoring Instructions:
     Tutoring students, please indicate in the comments the following:
     Course and Section, Professor, Chapter you want to review during tutoring session
7.  Finally, click Schedule at the bottom of the page.
   • To schedule your exam, please log in to Navigate South.
   • In Navigate South, search for the location "Psychology Testing Lab".
   • Under the appointment description, please provide the course number and section, course name, instructor name, and test number (e.g., "Exam 1").
   • Arrive at the testing lab at your agreed-upon time.
   • Address: UCOM 1220, University of South Alabama, 75 South University Blvd., Mobile, AL 36688-0002
     (The room number is 1220 and is located in Building 1000, the Psychology Building of University Commons).
   • Check in with the testing lab instructor. Be ready to show some form of picture identification (Student ID or Driver’s License are optimal).
   • Leave your phone/electronics with the testing lab instructor while you take your test.
   • When you are finished, give your test and answer sheet to the testing lab instructor and retrieve your electronics.
