HTM Student Awards

Outstanding Undergraduate Student – HTM
(a.k.a.) HTM Student of the Year

To be eligible for the award, student candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a declared HTM major, in good standing at USA.
  • Be an active member of one or more of the following:
    • Eta Sigma Delta
    • HTM Ambassador
    • HTM Club
  • Must have completed a min. of 75% of their HTM coursework, by the time the award is presented.
  • Worked a minimum of 20 scheduled volunteer hours during HTM Department occasions, fundraising events, industry events, etc., during their time in the USA HTM program.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Be an excellent representative of the HTM program.
  • Demonstrate engagement and exceptional performance in the classroom.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a min. of 3.0 GPA across all HTM courses.

 

Outstanding Intern – HTM

To be eligible for the award, student candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a declared HTM major, in good standing at USA.
  • Completed a minimum of 50% of the 300-hour internship requirement in their workplace.
  • Fulfilled all HTM 496 & HTM 498 course assignment requirements, due by the time the award is presented.
  • Demonstrate a high level of engagement, integrity, and reliability in their internship workplace.
  • Receive outstanding reviews/feedback from their internship supervisor, prior to the time the award is presented.
