Stored Biospecimens

The USA Health Biobank provides human tissues and fluids from surgeries, autopsies, and other routine procedures to investigators for research. The USA Health Biobank also could work with each investigator to tailor specimen acquisition and processing to meet their specific project requirements. 

Biospecimens available:

• Normal
• Tumor
• Normal adjacent
• Biofluids (whole blood, serum, plasma, clot, platelets, buffy coat, urine, stool)
• Bone Marrow Plasma
• Fine Needle Aspirate Tissue
• Vaginal Swab

Anatomic sites include but are not limited to the following:

• Breast, Uterus, & Ovary
• Colon, Stomach, & Esophagus
• Kidney, Bladder, & Prostate
• Liver, Pancreas
• Lung
• Brain
• Skin

Preservation types available include:

• Fresh frozen
• Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded tissues (FFPE)
