Requirements for a Minor in Information Systems

A student wishing to obtain a minor in Information Systems has two options: 

• Complete the eight recommended courses listed below 
  
  • CIS 115 - Beginning Programming
  • ISC 245 - Info Systems in Organizations 
  • ISC 285 - Intermediate Programming
  • ISC 272 - Systems Architecture 
  • CIS 321 - Data Communications and Networking 
  • CIS 324 - Database Design, Development & Management 
  • ISC 360 - Info Systems Analysis and Design 
  • ISC 361 - Database for Info Systems 

*At least 9 hours of courses in the minor, including all 300 level courses, must be completed at the University of South Alabama.

OR 

• Contact the Information Systems Coordinator to prepare a plan compatible with the student's major. 

All courses must be completed with a minimum grade of "C".
